Mac & Cheese Madness!

Mac & Cheese Please! Is there anything better than creamy, homemade macaroni & cheese? Gooey in the middle with a little bit of crisp on the top….. yum. We make this dish for any occasion, like Saturday. It is one of Katelynne’s favorites and most requested.

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 egg (tempered)
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 6 oz Any Shredded/grated cheese you want:
    • Cheddar
    • Mozzarella
    • Gruyere
    • Parmesan
    • Whatever you have💛
  • 1/2 lb of pasta
    • large macaroni
    • rotini
    • or penne

Instructions for Macaroni & Cheese

  1. Butter the dish
  2. Melt the butter in a sauce pan
  3. Add the flour to make a blonde roux
  4. Add mustard & seasonings
  5. Melt shredded cheese into sauce; save extra cheddar for the top.
  6. Add the tempered egg
  7. Add the al dente pasta to the dish.
  8. Mix sauce into the pasta, and top with more cheese
  9. Bake at 350 for 30 min. Let it sit on the counter at least 10 min before serving.
