Jennskitchenblog Adventures in Germany, Austria, and Italy – Day 2 Heidelberg

When visiting Heidelberg, Germany, the highlights are the Castle (of course) and the Walking Bridge. Quote du jour is, “There is always a Schloss.” This one should not be missed. Then make your way through the old city to get a Pfungstader and a Schnitzel and Pomme Frits. Trust me on this.

Take a walk through the cathedral and realize the history is alive all around you. Take a stroll down the streets of the city. You will walk enough to cover the steps for a fabulous dinner at the Schnitzelbank. Peppercorn Schnitzel was amazing, and the basic Wienerschnitzel is always a win when you can’t decide. Somebody always needs to try the daily special. It is amazing.
