Jenn’s Kitchen Blog Travel to NYC

My honey and I are traveling to Italy for a couple of weeks to celebrate his birthday and the fact that we have been a couple for 30 years!!! Stay tuned for amazing posts. To start, we flew to New York City on Delta Airlines. We are staying near the airport to connect to our flight to Frankfurt on Condor Airlines and connecting to Lufthansa, arriving in Milan tomorrow morning. We are very excited!

We found a fantastic restaurant in Queens last night that was just a short Lyft ride away from our Hilton Garden Inn.

Bruno’s Ristorante!

This restaurant was a taste of Italy. Amazing food complimented by a gracious host, and Raphael was the best waiter Paul and I have met in a very long time. We talked about the upcoming vacation, and he recommended wineries to visit.

The winelist was outstanding. We chose a wine from Tuscany, anticipating the next couple of weeks.

We started with the stuffed Zucchini Flowers. This is something I have always wanted to try at home. The Zucchini flowers were stuffed with Ricotta cheese and fried to a crisp. #gardentotable

Our next course was Perfect Pasta! I had Veal Parmesan with Pasta, and Paul had Ravioli Carbonara. The flavors were amazing. My veal was cooked to perfection without breading. The sauce was light but had solid flavor. Paul’s Carbonara was as rich as it looks. You could almost feel the taste of Rome in each bite.

At the end of the meal, we could not even fit one taste of the beautiful dessert options. The peach pie inspired me to try it when we get back home. The look reminded me of the personal plum cobblers. Here is a picture of the amazing options. Stay tuned for the potential recipes. Raphael gifted Paul and me with the delicious limoncello.

Do not miss this amazing restaurant if you are in NYC. The rough weather did not stop the fabulous experience. The staff is Five Star!
